In this paper the aim is to develop the foundations of a socio cultural approach and how this shape our perception of newcomers learning process. We argue that learning is embedded in social relations and institutional contexts; hence, learning is situated and mediated by language and material artefacts. Our main contribution is centered on what constitute a good learning communities for newcomers. To understand what constitute a good learning communities for newcomers, and hoe their find their way around in working environment while meeting expectations and demands, various form of qualitative method have been used
