New Courses in Engineering Education Programmes in NUAA

For improving the student competitive ability in the future, we introduced the project-based learning into the engineering education programmes and designed a new simulating scene learning style in courses developing and reforming. The typically new courses are the Chief Designer Presiding over Project and the Real Engineering Process Simulating Training Plan. Through the curriculum redesigning, we build a real engineering situation within courses teaching, such as the manufacture workshop condition or an aircraft project designing progress. Students can experience real processing progresses while studying knowledge and skill. In this paper, we will present the practical reform in detail and show the great achievements that students have get, such as original mini flight models. New courses, developed following the new learning style, are powerful in improving student innovative ability, self-educated ability and the capability of solving engineering problem. Some principles of curriculum redesigning will also be discussed in this paper.
