An approach to teaching literature in a different formate so as to encourage students to further explore the works and gender. The presentation will show various methods that can be utilized to present not only the literary work but other aspects pertaining to it, such as: history, sociology, music and cultural aspects. It will demonstrate the international spirit that cuts across cultures and time. The literature selected will encompass Medieval to 20th Century works from Spain and Latin America. Some of the authors represented will be: Jorge Manrique, Fernando Rojas, Calderón de la Barca, Benito Peréz Galdos, Miguel de Unamuno, Federico García Lorca, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Esteban Echeverría, José Mármol, Jorge Luis Borges and Gabriel García Marquéz. Participants will be involved in diverse activities and techniques.
