The Explanation of Paradoxical Aspects of Postmodern Pluralism and Transcendentalism in Moral Education

Moral education, like other aspects of education, has always been affected by its surrounding epistemological developments. These developments have sometimes been appeared as a challenge for moral education programs. Postmodern pluralism is amongst these developments, which has brought challenges to moral education. One of these challenges is the struggle between postmodern pluralism and transcendentalism. This article attempts to give answer to the basic question of whether postmodern pluralism should really be regarded as a challenge to transcendental moral education? Other possibilities such as the existence of a paradox and the ways to eliminate this paradox or to integrate both of them in one moral education curriculum are investigated.
